Leveling Up: Python and AI

This entry is part 2 of 3 in the series Generative AI and Story

Recently, I’ve reflected on what areas of software engineering to level up next. On the job, I’m learning more about Duende and secure APIs.

Outside the job, I evaluated deepening my front-end framework expertise, adding another programming language, or learning more about artificial intelligence.

As there is only so much time in a life, I devised a way to level up in two professional areas and in an avocation at the same time.

I plan on exploring both Python and AI by working with an original short story.

Via Python calling freely available OpenAI APIs, I will not only take the short story forward in terms of editing, grammar, and captivation, but also in terms of other production aspects like cover page, blurb, and more. Then, via AI, the short story will be prepared in different formats — audiobook, a foreign language, and more.
