Affirm App Reaches Alpha Status

Part 5 of 5 of the Affirm series

Affirm the app, a Rails mini project, is now available over on Heroku in its alpha version.

If you’re new here, this project uses Rails, postgres, SASS, and an open source api. Its repository is on Github, and it’s deployed on Heroku. It’s what I call a proof-of-tech project — it shows that I know my way around software and can easily climb the new-to-me tech learning curve.

This project has not only expanded my back-end repertoire of databases and languages but has added to my front-end skill set a flavor of the Rails framework — Rails 6 and responsive SASS, with a little yarn and webpacker. Also, in this case, I’m dipping my toes into Feature-Driven Development, an Agile method.

Read more about this app in other Affirm posts in this series.

As always, if you have more comments or feedback, please let me know.
